Recently State Representative Michael Tryon received a RINO rating from the conservative website midwestconservatives.com. Michael Tryon (R) serves the 64th district, which includes areas like Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Lake In The Hills, and others. After doing some research and having a conversation with the representative, it appears that title is premature.

IL needs Representatives like Michael Tryon to protect voter’s rights and tax payer’s pocket books. Key conservative issues that State Representative Michael Tryon supports:

• Pro Life
• Supports our 2nd amendments and out right to defend ourselves
• Against robbing Peter to pay Paul budgets
• Against Governor Quinn’s income tax scheme
• Against more stop-light or speed cameras

I encourage the Representative to stand firm against more State sponsored money grabs. Ask tough questions about the IL budget, reduce the deficit, and keep spending under control.

Ouch… is looks like some innovative constituency service.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Monday rejected the strongest campaign fundraising restrictions state lawmakers have ever sent him, saying he is sending the bill back to the General Assembly with instructions to make it stronger.

Lawmakers immediately accused the governor of trying to stop their efforts to restrict his ability to raise money from people who get state contracts.

Blagojevich said he will use his amendatory veto power to re-write the legislation to include restrictions on legislative pay raises and lawmakers who have more than one job. At the same time, he signed an executive order that includes the fundraising restrictions in the bill lawmakers sent him. Will this go anywhere past the news coverage and fuel for talk radio? No, but suburbanites would be better off if it did. Taxes will continue to climb until the residents stop voting that way.

One House target of the governor’s “double dipping” accusation fired back fiercely.

Rep. Susana Mendoza said she worked for the Chicago Department of Planning and Development before running for state representative and has never hidden that fact. She said she does not get paid by the city for days she spends in Springfield.

Mendoza said she works hard at both her jobs but Blagojevich cannot say the same.

“How often does he go to the state Capitol or the State of Illinois Building?” she said. “I am not about to get criticized by a ghost payroller.” (read full)
